Schools
We partner with schools to provide engaging, interactive workshops that inspire a love of reading and support reading at home.
Our initiatives include a popular alternative after-school club, an annual inclusive music and songwriting performance project with Create Arts, and collaborations with Z-arts to engage schools in World Book Day activities.
World Book Day
Every year we present an interactive live and/or digital event to celebrate World Book Day in March and provide free resources to Greater Manchester primary schools to support their own creative learning activities.
For World Book Day 2026 we are working with award-winning illustrator and author Chris Riddell, who will lead a magical online draw-along inspired by Adventures in Wonderland at Z-arts. You can find out more on our What's On page.
In 2024 we joined forces with Z-arts to present two World Book Day shows with best-selling and award-winning author Rob Biddulph, providing a unique opportunity for children to meet Rob, listen to a story and see him draw. We also commissioned Rob to create a special digital event to introduce his new book The Blue-Footed Booby in 2023.
