Award-winning novelist Susanna Clarke (Piranesi) joins us to discuss how writing and reading have shaped her life. From her worldwide bestseller Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, which celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year, to her enchanting new story The Wood at Midwinter. ‘One of our great living authors’ (New York Magazine), Susanna lives and writes in Derbyshire. She is the author of two novels and a short story collection. Her debut novel Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell was longlisted for the Booker Prize and won British Book Awards Newcomer of the Year, the Hugo Award and the World Fantasy Award. Her last novel, Piranesi, won the Women's Prize for Fiction and was shortlisted for the Costa Novel of the Year Award. Hosted by Alex Clark, literary critic and co-host of the Graham Norton Book Club.
