For the second year running, the Manchester Blog Awards recognised the best of the city’s online writing. Prizes were awarded in a number of categories including best creative writing on a blog. The event featured blog readings (including the final installment of Elizabeth Baine's specially commissioned story, What Would You Do?), music from the city’s MP3 bloggers and a special guest appearance from author and blogger, Caroline Smailes. Smailes is one of an increasing number of authors who have been snapped up by publishers on the strengh of their blogging. Her novel In Search of Adam was recently published by The Friday Project.
