Manchester Literature festival and Poets & Players presented Les Murray - Australia's leading poet and one of the greatest contemporary poets writing in English. His work has been published in ten languages. He has won many literary awards, including the prestigious TS Eliot Award (1996) and in 1999 he was awarded the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry on the recommendation of Ted Hughes.
At this rare experience, Les Murray conjured rural Australia in the calm surroundings of the Tai Chi Village Hall.
