MLF is thrilled to be working in collaboration with Instituto Cervantes and Route publishing to launch this unique memoir by Spanish writer and broadcaster Ramón Chao. The Train of Ice and Fire chronicles the crazy and dangerous adventures of a group of musicians Mano Negra, including Ramón's son Manu Chao, as they journey through the heart of Columbia, stopping off to give free concerts in stations along the way. It also features promiscuity, encounters with guerrillas, and reflections on One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. Ramón Chao is the author of several books, literary critic of Le Monde, a regular contributor to Monde Diplomatique, and director of the Spanish language service of Radio France Internationale. The Train of Ice and Fire is the first of his books to be translated into English.
