Angels of Anarchy: Surreal Writing Workshop

This two-day course will enable participants to use the current Angels of Anarchy: Women Artists and Surrealism exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery as a source of inspiration for their writing, as well as providing them with guidance for developing their craft. Participants will spend time looking at the exhibition, and through discussion and practical exercises, experiment with surrealism in their own writing. The course is designed for people with some prior experience of creative writing and will be led by our specially commissioned writer Suzanne Batty, whose published work includes the poetry collection The Barking Thing (Bloodaxe).
